Session: Cisco Network Performance Analytics
CloudCon Expo & Conference

Cisco Services delivers subscription-based Network Optimization Services (NOS) to their customers globally. NOS includes tools-based reporting services such as hardware end-of-life, software configuration, hardware field notices, and Cisco security vulnerabilities. Until recently, these reports were manually delivered as piles of MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Word documents on a periodic (usually quarterly) basis by Cisco Network Consulting Engineers (NCEs). These reports were engineering-focused, difficult to comprehend for executives.
After an extensive global survey of customer requirements, Cisco developed a metrics-based Network Performance Analytics (NPA) portal to empower customers to view these reports anytime, anywhere. This service is hosted at Cisco and ensures secure access to each customer’s data. This innovative NPA tool provides key performance indicators for executives to focus on problem areas .
Some of the benefits of this hosted service for Cisco are:
- Improved operational efficiency
- Better margin for Cisco due to increased automation
- Increased NCE productivity
